Let's take a deep dive into the process behind creating bespoke candles kit for the King of England...
The team at Buckingham Palace were keen to create white label Christmas candles to sell in-store and online during peak season. Armed with fragrance samples in all 3 of the Home County Co.'s Winter Collection fragrances, they selected Mulled Wine and Pine & Peppermint, offering their customers two iconic, but distinctly different fragrances to choose from.
For their white label candles, the team at Buckingham Palace knew they wanted to feature the iconic palace building on their vessels, using gold foil to provide that extra special touch of luxury you would associate with the King's London residence. Taking the artwork supplied to us, the Home County Co. produced candle vessel samples in gloss and matt finishes, with the client opting for a luxurious matt finish to perfectly set off the gold foil detailing. Finally, to get the colours for their bespoke candle vessels absolutely perfect, we pantone-matched colour swatches of the Palace's gift wrap to find the perfect red for their Mulled Wine candles and the ultimate Christmas green for their Pine & Peppermint candles.
At the go-ahead of the project, the Home County Co. supplied the Buckingham Palace team with their 30cl white label candle box net. This meant that the Palace's design team could lay their bespoke candle packaging design onto a tried and tested box construction to really make the products their own. Once the designs were completed, the Home County Co. team produced boxes in two designs, colour-matched to the vessels and with intricate gold foiling for a luxury finish.
Once the bespoke vessels were complete, it was time for the Home County Co. team to do what they do best - pour perfect white label candles fit for the King of England. Pouring with 100% natural soy wax in small batches to ensure perfect scent distribution for a clean and even burn every time, the finished products were certainly good enough even for King Charles III himself!
